About
NITI Internship Scheme 2025 is an initiative of the Government of India (NITI Aayog) for undergraduate/graduate/postgraduate degree students or research scholars enrolled in recognised universities/Institutions within India or abroad. The objective of the internship is to allow young academic talent to be associated with the NITI Aayog’s work for mutual benefit. The selected interns will receive an experience certificate.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must –
- be a bonafide student of any recognized university/institution within India or abroad
- be an undergraduate student having completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the second year/4th semester of the bachelor’s degree course and secured not less than 85% or equivalent marks in Class 12
- be a graduate student having completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the first-year/2nd semester of the postgraduate programme or perusing research/Ph.D. and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in graduation
- have appeared in the final exam or just completed Graduation/PG and waiting for admission to higher studies
- have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all the years/semesters of the graduation/postgraduation till the date of application
Benefits
The selected interns will receive a certificate regarding the successful completion of the internship shall be issued by the Adviser of the concerned Subject Division.

- Step 2: Click on the ‘Register‘ button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to ‘Register’. (Note – If already registered, log in using the registered email Id.)
- Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Track your Application Stauts’ here and click on it.
- Step 4: Navigate to ‘Apply Online‘ and click on it.
- Step 5: Fill in the required details and submit.
- Note:- Application can only be made six months in advance but not
- later than 2 months before the month in which internship is desired.
